Steven Butler has just returned from Camp Bastion. His visit was related to a modeling and simulation project using Coker's proprietary simulation tool, The Framework.
Chris Wilson and Nick Soper, from the CLS UK Analytical Team recently attended the third annual Chief of Defence Materiel (CDM) Commendations ceremony in MOD Main Building in London, UK. The CDM Commendation is awarded for achievements above and beyond normal performance expectations. The analysts are embedded within the Logistic Assessment branch of UK Ministry of Defence which was receiving a commendation in recognition of the work of the branch as a whole. Amongst the team's achievements are the rapid production and implementation of the IDRIS information system. IDRIS is currently in daily use on operations in Afghanistan, and has enhanced the ability of deployed UK units to share key logistics information, both in theatre and in the UK.
